OCHS Library Media Center Receives Picturing America Award

The OCHS Library Media Center was recently awarded a Picturing America grant showcasing a free collection of 40 high-quality reproductions of American art, along with a Teachers Resource Book.  Picturing America is a new initiative from the National Endowment for the Humanities that brings masterpieces of American art into classrooms and libraries. Through this program, students and citizens will gain a deeper appreciation of our country's history and character through the study and understanding of its art. Currently the collection is on display in the media center and will become a part of the permanent collection. Additional information on the exhibit and lesson plans may be found online at: http://picturingamerica.neh.gov/
